Vertical Tabs Programme Description Programme Description Aims and Objectives of the programme are • To inculcate in its students the requisite knowledge and practical skills for the challenging demands of theatre • To expose students to global trends in theatre and related fields • To enable students take up leadership roles in the theatre and film industries. • To train students to use theatre as a medium in promoting development in rural communities with indigenous local resources. • To prepare students in promoting cultural activities in schools and communities. • To encourage students become aware of their identity and their sense of patriotism. Mode of study: Regular/Full TimeDepartment: Theatre Arts Entry Requirement Entry Requirement: Entry Requirements a) SSSCE Candidates Passes in three (3) elective subjects. A credit in Literature in English will be an advantage. b) WASSCE Candidates i) Must possess credit passes (A1– C6) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science OR Social Studies, plus ii) Must possess credit passes (A1 – C6) in three (3) elective subjects. A credit in Literature in English will be an advantage. GCE Advanced Level Candidates Passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Also, the applicant must have had credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject (for non-science students) and an Arts subject (for Science students). Mature Candidates Candidates must be at least 25 years by August 1 of the academic year s/he wants to enrol. Post Diploma Candidates Candidates must possess a Diploma in a relevant subject from a recognised institution. The class obtained should be B average or better. Post-Diploma candidates will be admitted to Level 200.
