This comes to inform the University Community that the term of office of the first Chancellor of the University has ended and therefore the Office has become vacant.
According to Section 12 of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Act, 2004 (Act 672) -
1. There shall be a Chancellor of the University who shall be appointed by the Council.
Members of the University Community are informed that the challenge with internet connectivity at the Faculty Block as well as the GUSS Hostel has been resolved. Internet connectivity at the South Campus, particularly, at the Old Administration Block, the Osagyefo Library and the ICT Department Block has also been restored.
Members of Staff who intend to access the internet at the South Campus are to note that the system will require them to key in their login credentials for authentication before access is granted.
Management of the University of Education, Winneba with heavy heart wishes to inform members of the University community of the passing away of Mr. Kofi Bentum Wilson, Head of ICT Department, Winneba Campus.
The sad event occurred following a tragic accident on the Winneba-Cape Coast road on Sunday, 6th May, 2018. Mr. Kofi Bentum Wilson was employed on January 11, 2007 as an ICT Lecturer.
Management wishes to express its condolences to the family.
The Editorial Board of the Journal of African Arts and Culture (JAAC) announces a call for papers for the upcoming issue (October, 2018). This invitation is extended to local and international academics; practising artists; arts-based managers; organisations working in Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs); and organisers of cultural festivals. The journal publishes progressive research in ancient, contemporary and modern African Arts and Culture.

The University’s Integrated Financial Information Management System (TOPAZ Accounting Pro) Software has been down for a while now. This has led to a delay in the payment of claims. The University Management and the developers of the TOPAZ system met this morning Wednesday 11th April, 2018, and an agreement has been reached to get the software running by close of today.
