The University of Education, Winneba invites applications from suitably qualified applicants within the Finance Section of University of Education, Winneba (UEW) to fill three vacant Senior Member positions (Accountant or Senior Accountant). The positions need to be filled by October 2016.

Effect of parental support on educational achievement of the girl child in the Simpa fishing community
Girls were basically regarded as homemakers and people perceived the kitchen as the most suitable place for the girl but some parents over exaggerate this situation. In view of this, parents who are not academically and financially endowed prefer to sponsor their sons in neglect of their daughters. ICT Education (B.Sc.)
The ICT Education (ICTE) programme is designed to improve standards in the development and applications of ICT in all aspects of the educational system and processes. In making effective choices about when and how to use ICT to improve teaching and learning, the crucial issue is how teachers can harness ICT effectively for the achievement of instructional, learning and institutional goals.
UEW holds Pre-Academic Orientation for Fresh Students
A one week pre–intensive academic orientation programme to welcome fresh students has commenced at the Winneba campus of the University of Education, Winneba.
The orientation has been scheduled from Wednesday, 24th August to Friday, 2nd September, 2016. The eight day rigorous programme has various facilitators presenting on many vital topics to enlighten students on all areas pertaining to their stay on campus.
The orientation presentations include the following topics:
Information and Communication Technology Education
The Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) was established in 2008 as an academic department in the University of Education, Winneba. The Department is now separated with the following divisions: Academic and Technical units respectively. It has a staff strength of ten (10) faculty members, one (1) system analyst, two (2) instructional facilitators, and five (5) technical support staff.
2016/2017 1st Semester Registration Guidelines
Registration for the 2016/2017 1st Semester will be done on a departmental basis at the various departments for undergraduate students and at the Graduate Computer Laboratory in the Pecku Building – North Campus for Post-Graduate Students.
The registration dates which are non-negotiable are as follows:
Undergraduate Students
29th August – 2nd September, 2016 Registration for Levels 100 & 400
5th – 9th September, 2016 Registration for Levels 200 & 300
