The Department has been highly praised for its achievements over its three and half year existence. 1-YEAR DIPLOMA IN EDUCATION

 

The programme is designed for non-professional technical/vocational and applied science (agriculture, engineering, etc) teachers/trainers. It is designed to equip the learners with integrated set of knowledge and skills needed to make them effective teachers and trainers.

 

B. A. (Dagbani, Dagaare, Gonja, Gurune and Kasem and Kusaal Education)

Programme Description

The programme is designed to equip students with knowledge in the Dagaare, Dagbani, Gonja, Gurune and Kasem languages, literature and culture. The aim is to prepare students to speak and write the said languages to enable them to teach at the basic and secondary levels of education. Students are also adequately trained to take up jobs like programme presentation, news reading and community education using the language of study.

B. A. (Ga and Dangme Education)

Programme Description

The programme is designed to equip students with knowledge in the Ga or Dangme language, literature and culture. The aim is to prepare students to speak and write Ga or Dangme to enable them to teach at the Basic and Secondary levels of education. Students are also adequately trained to take up jobs like programme presentation, news reading and community education using the language.

Programme Description

The French Education programme seeks to help students acquire the knowledge and skills to effectively teach French as a foreign language in Ghana. The French Education Programme offers the students the opportunity to study language and literature.

    Programme Description

After completing the programme the learner will be able to work effectively as teachers and trainers in educational and training settings.
