UEW-K students organise Basic Design Technology (BDT) quiz competition for basic schools in Kumasi

The Old Students Association of Mampong College of Technical Education, formerly Mampong Technical Teacher’s College (MATTCOSA), UEW-Kumasi Chapter has organised interschool quiz competition for students of Anglican Junior High School in Kumasi to promote technical education.

A workshop on Grammar, Punctuation and Proofreading: Ensuring Professional Presentation

The workshop will address common questions about grammar and punctuation, with emphasis on how such mechanics are essential to effective institutional communications. Strategies for identifying and resolving grammar and punctuation errors would be discussed and practiced as well as effective proofreading skills. Participants will have an opportunity to have their grammar and punctuation questions answered and will leave the workshop with handouts and a list of resources that will assist them in perfecting their speaking and writing skills.

UEW Commemorates Ghana National History Day

The 2017 Ghana National History Day (GNHD) was marked on the theme, "Taking a Stand in History". The idea is to make history more engaging and help increase interest in knowing our past as Ghanaians. This theme helped participants to think about people, ideas and events that indicate a stand taken in the past, how relevant it is for history and what lessons can be learnt for the future. The main activities included a national history contest and sensitization on the relevance of history.

British Council presents APTIS at University of Education

British Council in partnership with the University of Education, Winneba organised a presentation on Aptis for staff and students of the university to encourage them to patronize the English proficiency product. Aptis is an innovative global English assessment tool from the British Council designed to test, assess and evaluate the English language skills of individuals in corporate and educational institutions.
