Our attention has been drawn to some misrepresentations regarding our decision to temporarily shut down the University of Education, Winneba campuses in reaction to the Court directives yesterday 13th June, 2017.
We wish to clarify the misrepresentations as follows:
The University of Education, Winneba was sued at the Winneba High Court in connection with a writ brought by one Supi Kofi Kwayera represented today Tuesday 13th June, 2017 in court by the Member of Parliament of Effutu, Hon. Alexander Afenyo Markin challenging the legality of certain actions taken by the then Governing Councils of the University.
A seminar has been organized for the academic staff of the Faculty to enhance efficiency and collaboration in line with the 2017 Operational Plan of Faculty of Foreign Languages Education and Communication,
The seminar under the theme “Harnessing the Research Potential for Staff Development” was rolled out to help lecturers to have a platform to share their research with the Faculty. Lecturers were also given the opportunity to share innovative ideas and inputs to improve on their individual and group research work.
Beware of making definitive statements that may prove to be false. For example, before writing a statement such as "Our study was the first to ...", ask yourself if you have searched the literature well. Also, because some publications do not show up on literature searches, consider cautious wording, such as "Our study appears to have been the first to ...".
The Dean of the School of Creative Arts, Prof. Mary Priscilla Dzansi-McPalm has urged Female Senior Members of the University of Education, Winneba to strive for excellence in Academia. She asked that they aspire to climb high on the academic ladder to make females visible at the top.

Functions
A workshop was organised by the Division of Human Resource for all Junior and Senior Staff of the Registry and Library from 15th May, 2017 to 18th May, 2017, dubbed “A time with the Employee Relations Officer”
The workshop discussed staff concerns ranging from job placements, promotion, health, entitlements to retirement.
