Prof. James K. Kagya-Agyemang appointed Principal of College of Agriculture Education, Mampong Ashanti

At its meeting held on 16th August 2017, the Governing Council of the University of Education, Winneba considered the report of the Appointments and Promotions Board presented by the Ag. Vice-Chancellor and endorsed the appointment of Prof. James K. Kagya-Agyemang as the Principal of the College of Agriculture Education, Mampong Ashanti.

Special call on Higher Education Governance, Research and Policy in Africa / Meaning-making Research Initiatives (MRI)

Established in 1973, the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA) promotes research by African and Diaspora scholars in the Social Sciences and Humanities that can contribute to a better understanding of Africa and its place in the world. This is done in the belief that sound knowledge of the continent is invaluable to efforts to make Africa a better place for its peoples and societies.

Department of Music Education Holds Retreat to Appraise its Activities

The Department of Music Education has organised a 3-day retreat for all teaching staff of the department. The retreat which was scheduled from 16th August, 2017 to 19th August, 2017 at Birdrock hotel in the Central Region was meant to develop and review the undergraduate programme, ensure staff development and faction out ways of expanding post-graduate programmes and also review existing ones.

UEW Staff re-elected to the International Board of Amnesty International

Dr. Vincent Adzahlie-Mensah was re-elected at the 33rd International Council Meeting (ICM) to serve as a member of the International Board of Amnesty International from August 2017 until 2021. 

The ICM was attended by representatives from over 70 countries in the world. The election was held at the Marriot Rome Park Hotel, Italy on the 14 of August, 2017.

Vincent was previously elected to the Board in August 2013 and remained there until his re-election. Congratulations! Go and make UEW, Ghana and indeed the World Proud!
