PRETTY TREES OF GAKWANA.
SYNOPSIS
Agyei ! Aaaah ! Now the antelope has fled And it was a big one too! All because of this tree root. (Looks up at the tree) Well, the tree has as much freedom to stretch its roots anywhere as l have the freedom to hunt in the forest. I don't have to blame it. (Looks up at the tree again) No, l cannot blame you. But my! What a lovely tree? And oh, another one! How I wish they were women. A Bachelor like me would be happy to have a wife. Oh, no! What am I saying? A tree become a woman? That can only be a phantasy. (Slaps himself) stop phantasising Ananse.

HALL ASSISTANTS TRAINED ON MODERN TRENDS IN HALL ADMINISTRATION AT COLTEK
Staff of Halls of Residence at College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK), who participated in a two-day workshop organised by the College Hall Administration, could not hide their joy for the opportunity which they aver had prepared them to offer improved services to the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).

Deans, Directors and Heads of Department freshly appointed for the Colleges of Technology Education, Kumasi and Agricultural Education, Asante Mampong have undergone a two-day orientation to get them ready for effective delivery in their respective offices.

COLTEK ADMITS FIRST BATCH MATHS STUDENTS
The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has admitted the first batch of 140 students into its BSc. Mathematics Education programme newly introduced at its College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) campus.
They formed part of a total of 2, 512 fresh students who were matriculated on October 20, 2017 to commence various undergraduate and graduate programmes at COLTEK for the 2017/2018 academic year.

UEW Holds Orientation for Newly Appointed German Lecturers
The University of Education, Winneba, has organised an orientation for four newly appointed German lecturers on the 19th October 2017 to give them the necessary tips essential to their stay in the University.
In his welcome address, the Director of the Centre for International Programmes, Professor Yaw Sekyi Baidoo, said that the Centre was delighted about their stay and encouraged them to come forward with any suggestions or advice that would help in the betterment of the University.

UEW Holds Valedictory and Matriculation Thanksgiving Service
The University of Education, Winneba has held a valedictory and matriculation thanksgiving service for the immediate past Registrar, Dr. C.Y. Akwaa-Mensah and the matriculants of the 2017/2018 academic year. The service was held under the theme “Jesus Christ the New Way of Life” at the Jophus Anamuah- Mensah Conference Centre.

New UEW Registrar Assumes Office on 1st November
The newly appointed Registrar for University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Mr. Paul Osei Barimah is to assume office on Wednesday 1st November, 2017 the Acting Vice Chancellor of UEW, Rev. Fr. Professor Anthony Afful-Broni has said.
The Acting Vice Chancellor said this on Wednesday 18th October, 2017 during the Matriculation Ceremony of the 2017/2018 batch of fresh students at Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre at the North Campus.
