“I Challenge you to be Effective Managers” – Ag. VC

The Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni has charged administrators of the University to be responsible and effective managers.

He warned UEW Administrators to bear in mind that the success of the University mostly rests on their shoulders. He however, encouraged them to do away with any bitterness within and work collectively to attain the desired goal of the Institution.

A Year Top-Up from M.A. to M.Phil. in Ghanaian Language studies (Regular)

The programme is designed to train high quality graduates of the Ghanaian Languages who have acquired in-depth knowledge and a very high incidence of competence and performance in their language of study. It is also to implant in the students the desire and the ability to make use of the Ghanaian Languages of their study in higher intellectual communication without any hint of code-switching or code-mixing.

M. A. Ghanaian language Studies (Sandwich for Students of Ga-Dangme, Nzema and Gur-Gonja languages)

The programme is designed to train high quality graduates of the Ghanaian Languages who have acquired in-depth knowledge and a very high incidence of competence and performance in their language of study. It is also to implant in the students the desire and the ability to make use of the Ghanaian Languages of their study in higher intellectual communication without any hint of code-switching or code-mixing.

M.Ed Agriculture

The Master of Education in Agriculture programme is a one year sandwich programme. It aims to develop further understanding of topic areas undertaken in a prior qualification, or develop new understanding in areas to broaden the knowledge of students. The Master of Education in Agriculture programme will promote critical reflection by promoting the acquisition of advanced analytical and problem solving skills and conceptual insight that will enhance the capacity of the candidate to undertake a more advanced study in Agriculture.

Self Registration for 2nd Semester 2017/2018 Academic Year

We wish to inform all staff and students that, Registration for the 2017/2018 2nd Semester would be activated on the 24th of January 2018. It will be a self-registration exercise where students would be required to register by themselves through their Student Portals.

Courses being offered for the 2nd Semester by various departments would be published on the Website on the 24th of January when registration commences.

Winneba Campus Holds Matriculation For 2017/2018 Distance Education Students

 

The Winneba Campus of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on Tuesday 16th January, 2018 held a matriculation ceremony for the 2017/2018 Distance Education students at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre, North Campus.

The ceremony saw a total of 3,062 students in a zone, comprising 13 Study Centres who were matriculated. The Study Centres were: Accra Academy, Accra (ATTRACO), Accra High, Asamankese, Assin Foso, Axim, Cape Coast, Kasoa, Koforidua, Sekondi, Tarkwa, Tema and Winneba.

Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship Fund (VCSF), 2017/2018 Academic Year

 

Applications are invited from qualified undergraduate students to access the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship Fund (VCSF) for the 2017/2018 academic year.

Completed applications should be submitted to Deans of Faculty or Director, IEDE latest by 16th February, 2018 who shall act as coordinators of the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship Fund (VCSF).

Students on Distance Education programme should submit completed applications to the Director of IEDE through their Coordinators.
