Msc. in Information Technology Education introduced at the University of Education, Winneba (Kumasi Campus)

Applications are invited from qualified applicants for admission into Msc. in Information Technology Education, a newly introduced Postgraduate Sandwich/Weekend programme at the University of Education, Winneba (Kumasi Campus) for the 2017/2018 Academic year.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR MSC IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION

i. A good Bachelor’s Degree (2nd Class Lower Division or better) in Information Technology Education (ITE), Information Technology (IT).

COLTEK SRC Expand Wireless Internet Connectivity on Campus

The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) at the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) has sponsored an expansion and improvement of the Wireless Internet connectivity on the Campus to make it more accessible to students. The GHC74,478 project which took less than a month to complete has resulted in the installation of the facility in all three Halls of Residence (Atwima, Opoku Ware and Autonomy) as well as the SRC Secretariat and main Library area.

UEW Releases Withheld Certificates of FBE Students

The three months certificate withholding sanction slapped on Faculty of Business Education (FBE) graduands for their acts of indiscipline during the November 2017 graduation ceremony in Kumasi has expired. According to a notice issued by the Department of Academic Affairs (DAA) of the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK), all affected students could visit its offices from March 1, 2018 to collect their certificates.

Condolences Pour in for UEW and Family of Late Prof. Okai

A seven-member delegation from the South Central Ghana Conference (SCGC) of the Seventh-Day Adventists Church (SDA) on February 28, 2018 called on Management of the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) to commiserate with the University of Education Winneba (UEW) and family of the late Prof. (Ing.) Reynolds Okai. The delegation which was led by the SCGC Secretary, Pastor Philip Amponsah-Mensah also took advantage of the opportunity to seek information about plans for the burial and final funeral rites of the Late Prof. Okai, who was Principal of COLTEK.

Remains of Late Prof. Okai Arrives in Ghana

The remains of late Prof. (Ing.) Reynolds Okai (Principal of the College of Technology Education, Kumasi) arrived in Ghana on Thursday, 1st March, 2018.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni, the Registrar, Surv. Paul Osei-Barima Esq, the Dean of School of Business, Prof. Christopher A. Okpoti and some representatives from the University were present at the Kotoka International Airport to receive the remains of the late Principal.

Prof. Okai died in China on an official assignment.

DR ADU-GYAMFI WINS COLTEK REPRESENTATION ON UEW COUNCIL ELECTION

The Head of Department of Information Technology Education (ITE), Dr. Samuel Adu-Gyamfi is the newly elected representative of the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) on the University of Education Winneba (UEW) Council. He prevailed in a keenly contested election for that position, amassing 50 votes representing 45.5 per cent of the total 110 valid votes cast in last Monday, February 26, 2018 elections organised by the College. His opponents, Messrs Yarhands Dissou Arthur, Lecturer, Chairman COLTEK UTAG and Mr.
