Faculty of Technical Education Holds Workshop on Curricular Review and Practical Manual Development

Staff of the Faculty of Technology Education (FTE) of the College of Technology Education, Kumasi, comprising of Departments of Information Technology Education (ITE); Construction and Wood Technology Education (CWTE) and Electrical Technology Education (ETE)  have attended a workshop on curricular review and development of practical manuals for relevant programmes in the respective departments. The three day workshop which took place at Fiapre in the Brong Ahafo Region  was from July 18-20 2018.

Acting Vice-Chancellor of UEW Pays Working Visit to COLTEK

The  Ag. Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni has reiterated UEW Management's resolve to complete projects at the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK).

He made this comment during a surprise visit to the College on Friday, 10th August, 2018 to gather firsthand information about the administration of the campus  and commended highly the Management and staff of the College for their dedication to duty.

Government is Committed to Ensuring Parity in UEW – Effutu MP

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Effutu Constituency, Honourable Alexander Afenyo-Markin has reiterated Government’s commitment to ensure parity in the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).  

He said the Akufo-Addo led Government would not fold its arms and watch things deteriorate at the leading Teacher Education University in Ghana.

UEW to Strengthen its Corporate Social Responsibility through Collaboration

The Ag. Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni has affirmed the commitment of UEW Management to rekindle its Corporate Social Responsibility on high footing for Effutuman to harvest the fruits pretty soon.

The Ag. Vice-Chancellor said the newly branded Corporate Social Responsibility intervention and cooperation would cover several areas including Primary and Secondary Education, Library resourcing, Entrepreneurship training, Security and Employment.

GRASAG-UEW Emerges Local GRASAG Association of the Year

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Chapter of the Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana (GRASAG) has emerged the Local GRASAG Association of the Year at the 2018 GRASAG Excellence Awards held at the University of Cape Coast, Central Region, Ghana. The Award ceremony was part of the GRASAG National Congress activities which took place from Thursday, 9th – Sunday, 12th August, 2018.

UEW Signs MoU with Tai Solarin College of Education for Enhanced Collaboration

The Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) today, 15th August, 2018, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu-Ijebu, Ogun State, Nigeria to regulate their relationship.

The MoU which aims at enhancing research, staff and students’ exchange, staff capacity development and other academic and professional relationships was signed at the Council Chamber, North, Campus, UEW.

Sandwich Student Enrolment for the 2017/18 Session Increases Greatly on Winneba Campus

The Winneba Campus of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has recorded a great increment of student enrolment for the 2017/2018 sandwich academic year.  

The Ag. Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni affirmed in his speech during the 2018 sandwich matriculation ceremony that, the Winneba Campus received 2,532 applications out of which 2,369 qualified and were accordingly admitted.
