Purported reinstatement of former Vice-Chancellor of UEW Prof. Mawutor Avoke by the Supreme Court

The attention of the Management of UEW has been drawn to a news story being circulated widely on media to the effect that the former Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mawutor Avoke, has been reinstated by the Supreme Court effective Wednesday 31st October, 2018 and that the subsequent appointment of Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni has been rendered null and void.

UEW Service Persons Charged to make Impact on Their jobs

2018 National Service Personnel (NSP) posted to the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) have been charged to make impact on the jobs they do. They were admonished to be passionate about the job and tasked to sacrifice now to position themselves in future.

The admonition was made on Wednesday, 17th October, 2018 during an orientation programme for NSP held at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre, North Campus, Winneba.

Executives of Distance Education Students Pledge Support to Management

Executives of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Chapter of the Distance Education Students’ Association (DESA) have paid a courtesy visit to Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni to congratulate him on his Investiture and Induction as fourth Vice-Chancellor of UEW. 

The Executives also used the occasion to pledge their support to Management for the success of Distance Education (DE) and the UEW as a whole. They presented a citation to Rev. Fr. Prof. Afful-Broni to indicate their commitment to his administration.

The attention of Management of the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) of the University of Education Winneba (UEW), has been drawn to the news article with the above headline that was published by the online portals - www.Starrfmonline.com and www.ghanaweb.com on Tuesday October 16, 2018 and was rife on Social Media platforms.

Management takes a very serious view of the said publication that has besmeared the otherwise good image of the College and its hardworking staff.

School of Business Praises Management for Refurbishment

The School of Business of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has praised Management for refurbishing infrastructure at the South Campus and fixing hotspots at vantage points to aid easy accessibility of Internet/Wifi at the School’s campus in Winneba.

The School appreciated the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni and his team for the renovation.

UEW, Ajumako Campus to get a Water Production Factory

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on Friday, 5th October, 2018 cut sod for the construction of Water Production Factory at Ajumako Campus, Central Region, Ghana.

The Water Production Factory project, initially to be constructed at North Campus, Winneba was moved eventually to Ajumako due to the salty nature of the land at Winneba. The relocation of the project to Ajumako functions as a way of improving activities in the town.
