UEW to Implement ERP System and IPSAS

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) is at the verge of implementing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system this year. This will automate all the core functions of the University such as planning, finance, admission, assessment, graduation, inventory, hall, asset, sales and human resource management.    

The ERP implementation will be done concurrently with the introduction of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) to regulate accounting issues in the University.

The Registrar, Surv. Paul Osei-Barima Esq. has stressed that the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has invested huge institutional resources to ensure that staff achieve professionalism in their fields of study therefore, under no circumstance must Administrators fail.

He emphasised that UEW has consistently made continuous professional training and capacity building an integral aspect of staff development in its quest to live up to the expectation of ensuring excellent academic standards in teaching and learning.

University Library and Faculty of Science Education Hold Workshop on Ethical use of Information

The University Library has facilitated a workshop on Ethical use of Information for the faculty members of the Faculty of Science Education as a means of addressing the issue of plagiarism which has been haunting students, lecturers and other members of the University community. The workshop was organised by the Dean of the Faculty of Science Education, Professor Ruby Hanson following a proposal from the University Library. It was attended by 55 members of the Faculty and it was facilitated by the University Librarian, Mr. Viscount B. Buer.
