Disposal of Unserviceable (Goods/Stores) items at the Various Campuses of UEW

All faculties, department, sections, units etc are requested to immediately make available all unserviceable items in their custody for collection by the Estate Section in the course of the week to enable them to cart such items to a central location for disposal.

The University community is, thus, hereby informed of the disposal of all unserviceable items (goods/stores items only) at all the campuses at 1.00pm on Friday 22nd February 2019.

Termination of Appointment of Two (2) Senior Staff of Finance Section

We wish to inform the University community that the under-mentioned Senior Staff in the Finance Section of the University have had their appointments with the University terminated with effect from 1st February, 2019.

The termination of appointment was effected after the two were subjected to disciplinary process in accordance with UEW Statute 36 c (ii) and Section 34.09 (iii) of the Unified Conditions of Service for the Unionized Staff of Public Universities in Ghana.

Multimedia Exhibition and Launch of Rig It

The University Community and the general public are invited to the first Graphic Design Multimedia Exhibition organised by the Graphic Design Department of the University of Education, Winneba. The exhibition is designed to project/advertise first, the University of Education, Winneba and second, the Department of Graphic Design with particular reference to the excellent academic programmes and co-curricular activities in the University.

Gsuite for UEW Staff

 

As part of efforts to improve access to effective and efficient mail services, the University of Education, Winneba has migrated to a new mail service powered by Google. The new service provides access to all of Google cloud apps including Google drive, Google sheets, Google docs and other services under an umbrella service referred to as GSuite. Staff would therefore access their emails on this new platform using their UEW email addresses. You cannot send or receive emails using the old platform however you can read the old emails.

 

Food Production Unit Restaurant Opens

The Food Production Unit (FPU) of the Home Economics Department of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has started operating new restaurant at the North Campus, Winneba.

The opening of the restaurant is in fulfillment of the promise made by the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni to revamp the FPU during the first Convocation meeting for the 2018/19 academic year on Wednesday, 26th September, 2018 and is also to provide a facelift for the University.

Department of Graphic Design to Host four (4) visiting Professors from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands

The Department of Graphic Design will be hosting four (4) visiting Professors from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands to embark on Design-based Projects with students of the Department.

The project commences from Monday, 18th - Wednesday, 20th February, 2019.

Staff and especially, students of the Department are invited to the event.

The Black Hermit

The Department of Theatre Arts of the University of Education, Winneba presents a play titled The Black Hermit written by Ngugi Wa Thiang'o and directed by Emmanuel A. Galley and Samuel M. Yirenkyi.

The show is scheduled to take off as follows:

Dates: 14th, 15th and 16th February, 2019

Venue: Amu Theatre, Central Campus

Time: 7.00 pm each night.

Payment of Fees and Registration

Students of the University of Education, Winneba who paid 50% of their fees during the first semester of the 2018/19 academic year are required to pay the remaining balance on their fees by Tuesday, 19th February, 2019 before registration.

Students who are unable to pay their remaining fees by the said date would cease to be students of the University.
