GAAS Academy Awards 2019 - Bronze Awards

The Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences invites candidates for the 2019 Bronze Award. This is open to all undergraduate students in tertiary institutions in Ghana.

Candidates should write on either of the following topics:

ARTS TOPIC:

“ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND ITS IMPLICATIONS FOR THE FUTURE SOCIETY”.

SCIENCE TOPIC:

“INNOVATIVE TOOLS FOR ACHIEVING SDGS”

Candidates will be judged on (a) evidence of originality and (b) clarity of thought. The undergraduate essay should not be more than 5,000 words.

Teacher Identity, Positionality and (Mis) Representation of Religion in the Ghanaian School Contexts: Insider/Outsider Case Study Perspectives

Promotion Exercise for Junior and Senior Staff

COLTEK, GSDI III Organise Maiden Workshop to Kick-start Implementation of MOU

Representatives of the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) and other relevant institutions including a Technical University and some Colleges of Education in Ghana have ended a two-week intensive trainer of trainers`workshop on School Management at COLTEK of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).

Blocking of the Broadsheet Application in OSIS

We wish to bring to the attention of the University community that the Broadsheet Application section in the Online Student Information System (OSIS) will be blocked to the University community and will only be accessible to staff of the Student Records Office (SRO) on Wednesday, 3rd July, 2019.

This is to enable the SRO and the Academic Affairs staff to process and print certificates for our July graduating students.

CIP Organises Orientation for 23 International Students

The Centre for International Programmes (CIP) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on Wednesday, 19th June, 2019 held an orientation for 23 international students from the University of North Carolina, Asheville and Norwegian University of Science and Technology at the Registrar’s Conference room, North Campus, Winneba.

The orientation was aimed at enlightening and equipping the students with basic knowledge that would help them settle into their studies quickly and enjoy their stay at the university.
