25th Congregation Notice to Final Year Students

The Academic Board wishes to announce for the information of all final year students that 25th Congregation for 2019/2020 graduands is slated for August 2020.   Consequently, all final year students are to ensure that:

  1. full payment of fees has been made; and
  2. appropriate clearance processes in the University have been completed.

Management wishes all final year students well in their end-of-semester examinations.

UEW Partners Right to Play to Train Future Teachers

Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has today, Monday, 22nd June, 2020, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a global organisation, Right to Play at the Council Chamber, North Campus, UEW.

The MoU gives Right to Play the green light to support UEW in the training of future teachers in different Faculties in the Colleges of Education and assist to capacitate the tutors who are teaching these future teachers to improve and impact the learning outcomes of Ghanaian children.

Tri-Continental Teacher Education Programme | Fellowship Application Now Open

Tri-continental Teacher Training (TTT) is an exchange programme among three Universities: University of Education, Winneba, Ghana, University of Hamburg, Germany, and University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, USA.  The purpose of TTT is to foster the professional development of budding teachers/teacher educators and offer them international exposure through collaboration and partnerships.

Evaluation of UEW Moodle LMS

The Quality Assurance Directorate is assessing the implementation of the Learning Management System (LMS) moodle employed by the University of Education, Winneba. The Directorate, consequently, has developed four (4) forms covering both Regular and Distance Learning to carry out the evaluation exercise. Various users of the UEW LMS are kindly entreated to visit appropriate form via links indicated below to fill them out.

Management Signs Commencement Agreement with  Kingdom Books and Stationery Limited

Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has today, Wednesday, 17th June, 2020 signed a Memorandum of Commencement with Kingdom Books and Stationery Limited at the Council Chamber, North Campus, UEW.

This is to enable Kingdom Books and Stationery Limited (KBSL) to commence the construction of a purpose-built UEW Bookshop at the University’s North campus. By the agreement signed today, UEW has granted access to KBSL to commence the project to ensure early completion.

Opening of 2019/2020 Bursary Registration for GRASAG UEW

The National Secretariat of the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG) wishes to announce to all eligible post-graduate students of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), that application for the 2019/2020 Bursaries has been opened from Monday, June 15, 2020.

The application process will last for exactly two (2) weeks and shall be closed on Sunday, June 29, 2020, after which students will NOT BE ABLE to register.

Submission of Credit Load of Lecturers

Heads of Department are kindly requested to compile a semester-by-semester list of courses and credit load taught by lecturers in respective departments. The information should be in a table form as shown in the attachment. Heads of Department should submit the compiled list through their respective Deans to the Office of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor latest Wednesday, June 17, 2020.
