Prof. Kankam Chairs Governing Council of UENR

Associate Professor, George Kankam, Dean of School of Graduate Studies, University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has been appointed to lead the Governing Council of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) to pioneer change in energy, environment and technology towards Ghana’s drive at sustainable development.

DIES University Leadership and Management Training Programme | Call for Applications 2021

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Center of Lifelong Learning (C3L) at the University of Oldenburg in Germany are jointly organising the DIES University Leadership and Management Training Programme UNILEAD in Oldenburg, enabling young managers at higher education institutions in developing countries to tackle successfully every-day challenges.

15 Retire from Kumasi Campus of UEW

The Management of the College of Technology Education (COLTEK), University of Education, Winneba (UEW), on Friday, 25th September, 2020, treated 15 workers to a farewell party ahead of their retirement from the service of the University, on 30th September, 2020.

The retirees, comprised five Senior Members, three Senior Staff, and seven Junior Staff. Each of whom was given a package worth more than GH₵ 6,000.00, a citation in recognition of their respective contributions to the University’s development, and a certificate of honour.

Registrars’ Welfare Honours two Retirees

The Registrars’ Welfare Committee on Wednesday, 30th September, 2020, honoured two of its members who retired from active service this year at the Registrar’s Conference Room, North Campus, Winneba. 

The two retirees namely; Ms. Felicia Takrama and Mr. Emmanuel Asafo served the University for 16 and 24 years respectively. They were honoured with beautifully wrapped parcels to acknowledge their outstanding services to the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).

HR Organises a Fitting Send-off Party for 2020 Retirees

The Division of Human Resource (HR) on Thursday, 24th September, 2020, held a befitting send-off party for 30 retirees of the Winneba and Ajumako campuses of the University at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre (JAMCC) car park, North Campus, Winneba.  

The 30 retirees constituted 14 senior members, seven senior staff, and nine junior staff. The ceremony which is usually held at the SEMSA Club House was relocated to the JAMCC car park to enable the apt observation of physical distancing as part of the COVID-19 safety protocols.
