The substantive executives of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Chapter of Senior Staff Association – Universities of Ghana (SSA-UoG), have been sworn into office at the North Campus Mini-Conference Room, Winneba.
The Governing Council of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) at an emergency meeting in Accra, yesterday, 6th October 2021, among other things congratulated Prof. Andrews Ofori-Birikorang on his assumption of office as the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University following the end of term and retirement of Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni since 30th September 2021.
The University community is hereby informed that the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has noticed anomalies in the evaluation report of academic staff of universities, especially staff who were affected by the Staff Audit.
The ECOWAS Parliament has scheduled to convene its Second Extraordinary Session from 18th to 22nd October, 2021 in Winneba. The Office of the President has notified the University accordingly.

Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) and a delegation from the General Headquarters of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Council Chamber of UEW on Tuesday, 28th September, 2021.
The MoU gives UEW the green light to establish a Study Centre at the Ghana Military Academy and Training School, Accra-Teshie, to train military officers for their professional and personal development.

The tenure of Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni officially ended on 30th September, 2021. Pursuant to Section 14 (2)(b) of the University of Education, Winneba Act, 2004 (Act 672) and Statute (10(21) of UEW Statutes (2020), Professor Andy Ofori-Birikorang, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba is mandated to act as Vice-Chancellor of the University.
