The Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA), University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Branch, has organised a one-day Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme at the Jophus Anamuah Mensah Conference Center to guide administrators and deepen their knowledge in their area of expertise.
The Faculty of Foreign Languages Education (FFLE), University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has organised a one-day mentorship workshop for its academic and administrative staff at the School of Creative Arts Conference Room, Central Campus, Winneba.
The workshop, which took place on Friday, 11th March, 2022, was under the theme “Faculty Mentorship: A Prerequisite for Faculty Development towards the Achievement of UEW’s Corporate Staff Development Objectives”.
As part of the regular exercise conducted by the Division of Operations, all drivers and motorcycle riders of the University of Education, Winneba, and Ajumako campus are requested to submit their licenses at the Winneba Campus Transport Yard for inspection.
The inspection starts from Monday, 7th March 2022 to Friday 18th March 2022. All drivers and riders should take note and comply.

STATEMENT ON UEW STUDENTS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT AT ASUBOI
Lecturers from the Department of Geography Education, University of Education, Winneba (UEW), have been awarded two different research grants to conduct research related to environmental sanitation in Ghana.
The grants are to be used to carry out spatial-enabled sustainable solid waste management system as well as a study on the viability and environmental implications of plastic waste buy-back schemes in Ghana.
The Chairman of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Governing Council, Nana Ofori Ansah I, has met with all levels of University staff to clear the air about recent events at the university.
The meetings were held on Tuesday, 8th March, 2022 with Members of Convocation and Wednesday, 9th March, 2022 with Senior and Junior Staff at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre, North Campus, Winneba.
The Department of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Sports (HPERS), University of Education, Winneba (UEW) in collaboration with the Ghana Foot Volley Association has organised a four-day educational and experiential Hydrotherapy workshop for its students.
The workshop, which also witnessed the involvement of nurses, navy officers, prisons service personnel and physiotherapists, taught participants how to use water to balance the nervous system, treat sports related injuries and rehabilitate the body.

The Directorate of ICT Services, University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has created “Turnitin Accounts” for all academic staff to promote originality and quality of research works produced by students and staff of the University to enhance research output and academic standards.
Turnitin is an internet-based plagiarism detection service.
The Directorate of ICT Services is pleased to inform all Heads of Department that Turnitin Accounts have been created for all academic staff to check for similarity/plagiarism of assignment/thesis etc.
The official University of Education, Winneba email address of staff was used to create individual accounts. Staff will receive an email from Turnitin requesting them to set up their accounts. After setup, the account will be ready for use.
The Office of the Vice-Chancellor wishes to bring to the attention of the University Community that Dr. Theophilus Senyo Ackorlie is now the Finance Officer of the University of Education, Winneba.
This follows a court decision that re-instated Dr. Theophilous Ackorlie who was subsequently appointed Head of the Finance Section by the Vice-Chancellor on behalf of the Governing Council.
The University Community is hereby encouraged to give Dr. Ackorlie all the courtesies of the office as Finance Officer.
