Settling in

This topic is packaged to assist both fresh and continuing students settle in well into the New Semester. The aim is to assist, inform, encourage and motivate students to settle in seamlessly into the semester. 

The programme touched on how to settle in Academically and Socially.

Additionally, the topic "Settling In" gives a panoramic view of how to be a successful student, including about seven characteristics of a successful student.

THE 2017 COMMUNITY HISTORY WRITING PROJECT (CHWP)

The 2017 Community History Writing Project (CHWP) took place in Apam in the Central Region of Ghana, from 21st August, 2017 to 1st September, 2017 and marks the second CHWP organized by the Department of History Education (DHE) at the University of Education, Winneba. The CHWP is designed and aimed at engaging students of history, specifically from the Department of History Education of the University of Education, Winneba, in writing the History of communities in Ghana.

UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, WINNEBA (UEW) BIDS FAREWELL TO DR. JIM WEILER, FORMER ACTING HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY EDUCATION.

On 7th August, 2017, the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) bid farewell to Dr. James M. Weiler, and his family at a surprise send-off party. The event was organized by the Faculty of Social Science Education, UEW. It was to recognize the good work he did for UEW and also celebrate his time at the University.

WELCOME ADDRESS BY NEW ACTING HEAD OF DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY EDUCATION

 

I wish to welcome everyone to the beginning of the 2017/2018 academic year as the Department of History Education (DHE) of the University of Education, Winneba enters  a new era. The time ahead look challenging but also promises new and exciting changes to the Department.

I wish to pay  tribute to the former H.O.D for all that he was able to do and to express my appreciation for his efforts in building the Department of History Education almost from the scratch as its foundation H.O.D.

CMS Celebrates 10 years of Academic Excellence

The Department of Communication and Media Studies (CMS) under the Faculty of Languages Education on Friday, 8th September, 2017 launched its 10th anniversary celebration at the J.N. Aryeetey auditorium at South Campus.

Exactly ten years ago in the month of September, was born CMS through the visionary ideas of three gallant professors namely Jophus Anamuah-Mensah, J. Y. Sekyi-Baidoo and K. Ansu-Kyeremeh  of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).
