COLTEK HOLDS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CBTR

The College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) broke grounds in academia as it successfully organised the maiden International Conference on Competency-Based Training and Research (ICCBTR) from September 13 – 15, 2017 in Kumasi. COLTEK HOSTS 10 CHINESE STUDENTS FOR INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

The first batch of 10 University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) students have just rounded up a two-week internship at the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) thanks to the agreement on International Students Internship between the UESTC and UEW. The agreement was signed in 2016 and it is expected to last for three years but could be extended further if desired by both universities.

COLTEK GRADUATES 148 IN CBT PROGRAMME

The College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has graduated the first batch of 148 beneficiaries of the Competency-Based Training (CBT) programme recently introduced at COLTEK through the collaboration of the Government of Ghana (GoG), African Development Bank (AfDB), Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (COTVET) and the UEW.

UEW CELEBRATES WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY

The Institute of Educational Research and Innovation Studies (IERIS) of the University of Education, Winneba on 5th October 2017 held the World Teachers’ Day, under the theme “Teaching in Freedom, Empowering Teachers.” The event, which was held at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Center witnessed the presence of the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University, Deans and Heads of Faculties, Divisions and Departments, representatives of NAGRAT and GNAT, the Municipal Director of GES, Effutu, Teachers and Students and Pupils from selected Junior and Senior High Schools in

Mrs. Christie Okae-Anti Appointed Ag. Registrar

 

The Ag. Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Fr. A. Afful-Broni has on behalf of the Governing Council of the University of Education, Winneba appointed Mrs. Christie Okae-Anti as Ag. Registrar of UEW effective October 3, 2017. 

In a letter from the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, she will hold the position 'pending the completion of processes for the appointment of a substantive Registrar in due course'.
