University Administrators asked to Strengthen Leadership

Dr. Paul Effah, President of the Radford University College, has asked university administrators to become more innovative in the areas of resource mobilization and management.

This, he indicated, was necessary to aid the smooth running of the institutions.

He was delivering a paper at a continuous professional development workshop at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi.

Workshop on the use of Telegram APP (Social Media) for Virtual Learning

The Division of Human Resources in collaboration with the Winneba Study Centre of the Institute of Educational Development and Extension (I.E.D.E) organized a workshop for part-time lecturers on the 23rd of March 2017 at the Registrar's Conference Room at the North Campus on the theme “Tutorials in the 21st Century.”

Facilitators for the workshop were Messrs. David Kofi Sekyi (a part-time lecturer, Educational Technology) and Humphrey A.K. Pufaa (Instructional Technologist, Student Records Office).

CAMFED-UEW Marks CAMA Week

A two-day seminar has been organised by the Gender Mainstreaming Directorate for beneficiaries of the CAMFED-MasterCard Scholarship and Vodafone Scholarship. The Seminar which formed part of activities to mark the maiden edition of CAMA week celebration was held from Wednesday, 29th March, 2017 to Thursday, 30th March, 2017.

CAMA is the UEW branch of the Campaign for Female Education (CAMFED) Association. It is made up of all the beneficiaries of the CAMFED scholarship.

Human Resource Organises Training for Senior Assistant Registrars and Assistant Registrars on Grammar, Punctuation and Proofreading

The Division of Human Resource has organised a one-day training on the theme “use of grammar, punctuation and proofreading: ensuring professional presentations for Senior Members of the Registrar’s Office (Senior Assistant Registrars and Assistant Registrars)” on Winneba Campus on 27th March, 2017.

Department of Art Education Donates to UTV

The Department of Art Education of the University of Education, Winneba has donated three mural paintings to Universal Television (UTV), in recognition of its contributions to the promotion of arts-oriented programmes for national development.

The three murals titled, Adekye Nsoroma, Power in communication and The Weaves of Beauty are to serve as set designs for UTV’s famous morning show dubbed ‘Adekye Nsoroma’. The designs have high Ghanaian aesthetic content that differs from Eurocentric concept of aesthetics.
