The Division of Human Resource in partnership with the Estate Section has organised a workshop on the health needs of staff of the Section. The workshop was held on 2nd February, 2017 and attended by 35 members of staff of the Section.

The Old Students Association of Mampong College of Technical Education, formerly Mampong Technical Teacher’s College (MATTCOSA), UEW-Kumasi Chapter has organised interschool quiz competition for students of Anglican Junior High School in Kumasi to promote technical education.

UEW Commemorates Ghana National History Day

The 2017 Ghana National History Day (GNHD) was marked on the theme, "Taking a Stand in History". The idea is to make history more engaging and help increase interest in knowing our past as Ghanaians. This theme helped participants to think about people, ideas and events that indicate a stand taken in the past, how relevant it is for history and what lessons can be learnt for the future. The main activities included a national history contest and sensitization on the relevance of history.

British Council presents APTIS at University of Education

British Council in partnership with the University of Education, Winneba organised a presentation on Aptis for staff and students of the university to encourage them to patronize the English proficiency product. Aptis is an innovative global English assessment tool from the British Council designed to test, assess and evaluate the English language skills of individuals in corporate and educational institutions.

GNAAS Marks Ghana’s Independence Celebration with a Clean-Up Exercise

Members of the Ghana National Association of Adventist Students (GNAAS) exhibited attitudes of good citizenship and nation building as they marked Ghana’s 60th Independence Day Celebration with a Clean-Up Exercise at the Faculty Block of the University of Education, Winneba, North Campus.

Members of the Association cleaned all classrooms, toilet facilities and pavements of the Faculty Block on Monday, 6th March, 2017 to help promote good health and improve sanitation in the University.

UEW Marks Mother Tongue Day

The University of Education, Winneba has joined the world in marking Mother Language Day Celebration. The global event which was held to promote and create an awareness of linguistics & cultural diversity, multilingualism and peaceful co-existence of diverse language speakers, took place on 21st February, 2017 at the College of Languages Education in Ajumako.
