UEW Alumnus wins Leadership and Excellence Award

The Institute for Educational Research and Innovation Studies (IERIS) organised a sensitization drive for staff on 27th February, 2017 at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre of the University of Education, Winneba to create awareness for the Research, Innovation and Staff Development Fund (RISDF) of the University to promote the conduct of research in the University.
The Registrar of the University of Education, Winneba, Dr. C.Y. Akwaa-Mensah advised students not to copy if they wanted to succeed in life.
He urged them to carve a niche for themselves and develop personal brands if they wanted to excel in their endeavours. He noted “you don’t need to copy if you want to succeed. You need to carve a niche for yourself." In his view, there was no point for one to imitate another person, to be just like the person, if they could be finer versions of themselves.
The University Library is pleased to announce the extension of its opening hours at the Winneba Campus as part of its effort to give enhanced services to patrons.
This has become necessary as a result of several requests from some students to the Library to extend the opening hours because of the limited seating capacity in the Library. The new arrangement means that students would have more time to use the resources of the Library.
We hope that our patrons would continue to take advantage of the extended opening hours as they are doing now.
The University of Education, Winneba on Tuesday 28th February, 2017 signed Memorandum of Understanding with four institutions as part of its efforts to promote education in Ghana and the sub-region.
The Student Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Education, Winneba, has presented 50 footballs to the office of Amalgamated Sports and Clubs to promote sporting activities on campus.
The SRC President, Mr. Jarvis Kojo Koffie in the company of the SRC Financial Secretary, Mr. Isaac Afful and the General Sports and Games Secretary, Mr. Eric Aloko Ayine made the presentation on 24th February, 2017 at the Office of the Chairman of Amalgamated Sports and Clubs, University of Education, Winneba.

The University, for that matter UEW winneba campus is a place where many academics, corporate groups and individuals would want to be, either to have a tour of its beautiful campus, library facilities, sporting facilities or utilize its modern conference facilities. In any way, the Campus is ready for a ride for an adventurous academic journey.
