VISUAL LITERACY IN EDUCATION

Course description

Visual literacy is defined as the ability to understand and use images, including the ability to think, learn, and express oneself in terms of images. The course will improve students’ visual literacy knowledge. Students will use image manipulation software (Adobe Photoshop) to apply the skills they will learn in the course on selected group projects. This course focuses on using critical thinking skills to interpret the material. This course requires that students actively engage and construct the material.
