Celebration of the 2022 African Union Day

The African Union Day is celebrated every 25th day of May as an occasion to promote the African Union, its activities and the development of Africa in general across the continent.

The Centre for African Studies (CAS) of the University of Education, Winneba as an interdisciplinary research and teaching centre with a focus on building knowledge on Africa would spearhead this years’ celebration on the theme “Strengthening Resilience in Nutrition and Food Security in Ghana”.

As part of the 2022 African Union Day celebration, the Centre for African Studies, University of Education, Winneba would undertake these activities on the 25th May 2022;

  • a radio discussion on issues about Africa from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at Radio Windy Bay.
  • wearing of African and Cultural attire.
  • release of a communique on the theme to media.

The entire University community is encouraged to take part in the celebration of our dear continent and its rich cultural heritage.
