  1. Entry is historical accurate; no historical errors are evident.
  2. Shows analysis and interpretation; includes a clear research question & thesis.
  3. Demonstrates how the topic is within the historical context of that time and the context before, during and after the topic.
  4. Demonstrates wide research
  5. Uses available primary and secondary sources.
  6. Demonstrates balanced research. While the paper presents a thesis that the writer is “proving”, the writer should consider alternative points of views
