COLTEK Staff Trained on Accreditation Issues

The Accreditation Office of UEW has organised a day’s workshop on Accreditation Issues for key categories of staff at the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).

The workshop which was attended by Deans of Faculty, Heads of Department, Examinations Officers, Faculty Officers and other Administrators sought, among other things, to expose the nitty-gritty of accreditation issues to participants so they can avoid the pitfalls and challenges related to accreditation processes.

College Registrar, COLTEK, Mr. Michael Kofi Adu

The College Registrar at COLTEK, Mr. Michael Kofi Adu officially opening the workshop on behalf of the Acting Principal, Prof. Frederick K. Sarfo, conceded that accreditation issues sometimes became drudgery because of lack of adequate information and therefore, getting one’s capacity enriched on such issues is necessary to promote proactiveness among participants on accreditation matters.

He described the workshop as a rare opportunity for participants and therefore should be maximised for the eventual benefit of the University.
