EPUC Partners UEW for the Award of UEW Degree
Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) and the Evangelical Presbyterian University College (EPUC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Council Chamber, North Campus, UEW, today, Monday, 10th May, 2021.
This instrument of affiliation establishes a framework with a view to each party exercising several and joint responsibilities in the fullest sense to ensure that academic standards of all programmes are maintained and enhanced under a level of attainment appropriate for the award of a Degree of UEW.

The MoU applies to undergraduate programmes leading to the awards of Diploma in General Agriculture, Diploma in Marketing, Diploma in Human Resource Management, and Diploma in Organisational Development and Financial Management.
The Vice-Chancellor, UEW, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni, in his welcome address, iterated that “as the leading teacher education University in the country, it is always our desire that we would extend ourselves to the farthest corners of the nation through the various things we do; one of which is the establishment and extension of Distance Education programmes and supporting Colleges of Education”.

The Pro-Vice-Chancellor, UEW, Prof. Andy Ofori-Birikorang, on his part, appealed to the partner institution to endeavour to satisfy their financial obligation in the partnership at all times to avoid unplanned discontinuity.

The President, EPUC, Prof. Edem Kwasi Bakah, expressed sincerest gratitude to the Management of UEW for the opportunity. “We are much more grateful especially because you’ve made a very important point that you’ve made an exception to accommodate us at this critical moment and we deem it a great privilege.
“I want to use this opportunity to assure you and your team that we value and cherish this concession you have given us and we would work hard to ensure that the relationship grows stronger and stronger,” Prof. Bakah promised the Vice-Chancellor and his Management team.

Paul Osei-Barima Esq., noted that “the purpose of this gathering is to initiate a working relationship between the University of Education, Winneba and the Evangelical Presbyterian University College. So, this morning we are here to document the nature of the working relationship that we intend to establish with your College”.
