Ghartey Hall Welcomes its 2021/2022 Freshmen
The Ghartey Hall, University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has held an orientation programme for its fresh students of the 2022 academic year at the South Campus Assembly Hall.
The programme enabled Management and Executives of the Hall to interact with the level 100 students while imbuing in them the essence of their royalty as bona fide members of the hall whose members are known as royals. The occasion also allowed freshmen to acculturalise to the principles and values of the Royal Hall. The orientation programme had hundreds of students in attendance.

In welcoming participants to the orientation on behalf of the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. B. B. B. Bingab, Dr. Juliana Daniels, who is Vice-Dean, Student Affairs, charged affiliates of the Hall to emulate the impressive footsteps of the continuing students in making Ghartey Hall an exemplary Hall in the University. She entreated them to be active residents and affiliates.
“To call yourself a Royal is no joke. You need to be orderly, show discipline, demonstrate self-respect and self-esteem to defend the high status of your royalty. You do not only defend, but you also support. So, it behoves you as Royals to support your Hall Manageress, Hall staff and Executives to ensure orderliness, discipline, and the best atmosphere in your Hall," she advised.
Hall Manageress, Dr. Mrs. Patricia Ananga encourages the fresh students to focus on their studies, which is the primary reason for enrolling in the university
The Manageress of the Hall, Dr. Mrs. Patricia Ananga, noted that Ghartey Hall is a Hall of Greatness that prioritises its members and invests in their success. She also stated that the Hall provides its students with a serene environment to support the delivery of quality university education.
Dr. Mrs. Patricia Ananga underscored the relevance of cooperating with roommates to ensure peace and tranquillity at the hall. "Please try and respect each other, knowing that respect is reciprocal. Try to acknowledge the differences in personalities, and do not expect your roommate to be you, and vice versa. Do unto others, what you have them do unto you. Let’s live together as a family, be ready and willing to share and care. Remember, more importantly, to stay focused on your studies; the primary reason for being here."
