Late Prof. Reynolds Okai to go Home on May 27
A six-member delegation from the family of the late Prof. Reynolds Okai (Principal, College of Technology Education, Kumasi) has officially announced Sunday, 27th May, 2018 as the day of burial for the deceased.
The announcement was made on Wednesday, 2nd May, 2018 at the Council Chamber, North Campus, Winneba when a six-member delegation paid a courtesy visit to the Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).
According to Mr. George Wood, cousin of the deceased, there would be no wake-keeping. He added that there would be a pre-burial service at the Koforidua Technical University on the burial day at 9:00am.
“Burial will take place at Nkurakan near Koforidua after the service, followed by the funeral rites at the Koforidua Technical University. The Thanksgiving Service will be held on Saturday, 2nd June, 2018 at the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church at Labone, Osu.” He said.
The Ag. Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni assured the deceased’s family that UEW was ready to offer any kind of support needed for a befitting burial.
Present were the Acting Pro Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the College of Agriculture Education, Prof. James Kagya-Agyemang, Ag. Principal of COLTEK, Prof. Frederick Kwaku Sarfo, Principal of the College of Languages Education, Prof. Ephraim Avea Nsoh, Registrar, Surv. Paul Osei-Barima Esq and Head, University Relations Office and Media, Ms. Obaapanyin Oforiwaa Adu.
