M. A. Human Rights Students (2014/2015 Year Group) Donate to CHRAPS

 

The 2014/15 year group of the Master of Arts, Human Rights programme at the Centre for Conflict, Human Rights and Peace Studies (CHRAPS) has presented a Refrigerator and a Printer (3 in 1 Scanner, Fax and Copier) to the Centre to run its operations effectively.

The Commissioner of Police and Director in Charge of Administration at the Police Headquarters in Accra, COP James Oppong-Boanuh, a member of the year group, presented the items on behalf of the class. He observed that, the presentation was a token of their appreciation to the Centre. He was thankful to the University and the Centre for the varied skills imparted to them during their period of study in UEW. He used the opportunity to encourage other students to contribute their bits to help in the growth of the Centre.

 The items were received by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Science Education, Prof. Yaw Ofosu Kusi. He was very appreciative of the kind gesture and expressed his hope that this presentation would motivate other UEW alumni to also look back to assist the Centre and help build the University as a whole.

Present at the ceremony were the District Commander of Police of Ajumako and a member of the Class of 2014/15, Mr. John Paul Akonde, the Director at the Centre for Conflict, Human Rights and Peace Studies, Dr. Harrison Golo, the Head of Department for Social Studies Education, Dr. Samuel O. Bekoe.
