National Intercessory Assembly holds Prayers At UEW
The 2016 National Intercessory Prayers has been held at the University of Education, Winneba at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre on Saturday 29th October, 2016. The event which commemorates the 15th Anniversary of the Assembly was on the theme “Peace Be Still: Mark 4:39.”
The programme brought together 15 tertiary institutions from across the length and breadth of the nation including University of Cape Coast, University for Professional Studies, University of Mines and Technology, University of Ghana, University of Development Studies-Nyankpala/ Tamale, University of Natural Resources and Energy, Methodist University College, Kwadaso Agriculture College, Valley View University, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Takoradi Polytechnic, Kings University College, University of Health and Allied Science, National Vocation Training Institute, Winneba, University of Education, Winneba-Ajumako campus and Mampong campus to intercede for the nation. Students’ Intercessory leaders from the various campuses led various aspects of the prayers.
The first intercessory prayer was for peace to prevail on the various campuses in the nation, the second intercession prayer was for the development of Ghana in terms of infrastructure, employment, adequate resources and quality leadership as well as prayer for a peaceful election on 7th December, 2016. The third prayer was to ensure that there was love and unity in Ghana and divine intervention on the day of declaration of the election result. The leader of the Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams charged students intercessors to continuously intercede for the nation and the world at large to avert any plans of the evil one towards the nation Ghana in the upcoming election on 7th December, 2016.
