The Office for Institutional Advancement (OIA) Publishes Book on COVID-19

The Office for Institutional Advancement (OIA) of the University of Education, Winneba, has published a book on COVID-19 titled “COVID-19: Multi-Disciplinary Perspectives.”

The book evolved from the COVID-19 Webinar Series organised by the OIA from May 6, 2020 to July10, 2020. It would be recalled that in response to the closure of educational institutions across the country, as directed by His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, in his nationwide address delivered on Sunday, March 15, 2020, as part of measures to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the OIA, in supporting the strategic efforts of the University to promote excellence in education and research, pioneered webinar series to facilitate remote online education on the pandemic, and also to help mitigate the debilitating effects of the disease.

The book is made up of fifteen-chapter research papers that address varied perspectives, including evidence-based practices on COVID-19 in Ghana.

The book was edited by Dr. Mavis Amo-Mensah, Director of the Office for Institutional Advancement, and Prof. Andy Ofori-Birikorang, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, University of Education, Winneba, with a foreword by Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni, Vice-Chancellor, University of Education, Winneba.
