School of Business Commissions a 50 -Seater Reading Room

The School of Business, University of Education Winneba [UEW], has commissioned its newly established Reading Room at the South Campus, Winneba.

The 50-seater capacity Reading Room will greatly enhance effective studying as well as intensify research and academic work on campus.

Welcoming the gathering to the brief ceremony, the immediate past President, Business Administration Students Association [BASA], Mr. George Agyapong, on behalf of BASA, acknowledged Management and lecturers for supporting BASA, especially when the idea of establishing a Reading Room came up.

“The whole idea of the School of Business Reading Room is for students to get a place to study. Initially, the structure was a library. However, we are, temporally using the place as a Reading Room. Overtime when we get books to stock the place, it will be turned into a library,” he averred.

Speaking on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof Anthony Afful- Broni, the Dean, School of Business, Prof. Awaisu Imurana Braimah, thanked the Management of the School of Business for the tremendous work done over the years. He continued that the newly commissioned Reading Room will inform students about how monies being paid as dues are utilised.

He encouraged the incoming Executives to emulate such good works of the immediate past Executives to lift high the good name of BASA.

The Vice-Dean, School of Business, Dr B. B. B. Bingab, expressed delight at the new development and stated that the room will be of great benefit to students in their studies.  

Other Dignitaries present were the Ag. HoD, Department of Marketing, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Dr. Mawuko Dza; Ag. HoD Accounting, Mr. Samuel Gameli Gadzo and Head, Applied Finance and Policy Management, Dr. Ato Forson.
