UEW donates computers to Ghana National Fire Service
The Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has donated two desktop computers to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), Winneba on Tuesday 24th January, 2018. The donation was done on behalf of the Management of the University by Mr. Steve van Kamassah, Deputy Registrar for the Division of Publications and Communication.
According to Mr. Kamassah, this directive was carried out due to a request from the GNFS asking for support from the University to help make their work easier.
The computers are to aid the Service to take records, support administrative work and carry out other operations within the Municipality.
Two representatives from GNFS, Assistant Divisional Officers Grade One (ADO1) Kingsley Yeboah and Frederick Gyimah, took the computers on behalf of the Service.
ADO1 Kingsley Yeboah thanked the Management of the University for the support and assured them of proper use of the computers to the benefit of the Municipal. He also said that this action would promote and maintain mutual friendship between UEW and GNFS. Touching on their plans for 2018, the ADO1 indicated that, the service has plans to carry out a comprehensive safety audit of safety equipments and gadgets in the University.
Mr. Kamassah also assured them of UEW's cooperation with the organisation when they come around for the excersice.
