UEW Partners AUCC and TTU
Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on Tuesday, 11th December, 2018 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with African University College of Communications (AUCC) and Takoradi Technical University (TTU) at the Council Chamber, North Campus, Winneba.
This was to formalise agreements between the aforementioned institutions with regards to affiliation of programmes. AUCC is affiliating itself with UEW’s Master of Arts in Journalism programme while TTU looks forward to merge with UEW for the award of Diploma in Education.

The Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni expressed delight to have them on board. He said that UEW would take the collaboration seriously and ensure that they build on each other’s strengths and also strengthen each other to overcome the weaknesses they might have.
“We happen to have started earlier than you and so are in a situation where we are an autonomous University but I think our autonomy would be shown in how effectively we support other people to become like us and even bigger than us.” He said.

The representatives of the visiting institutions raised hopes of having a fruitful partnership with UEW. “Having come all the way from Accra and Takoradi to discover you (UEW) here, we are hoping that just as you said, this relationship will go further than we expect. We didn’t choose UEW for nothing, we knew what we were bargaining for.”
AUCC was represented by the President, Prof. Margaret Crabbe and the Director of Finance, Mr. Paul Fabalona whereas TTU was represented by the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun and the Dean, School of Graduate Studies, Dr. Samuel Adentwi Bentum to sign the MoU.
Among the UEW officials present were the Director, Quality Assurance, Prof. Yaw Ameyaw; Deputy Registrar, Division of Academic Affairs, Mrs. Christie Okae-Anti; Senior Assistant Registrar, School of Graduate Studies, Mr. Kenneth Abban and Senior Assistant Registrar, Office of the Vice-Chancellor, Mr. Emmanuel A. Birikorang.
