UEW RECEIVES DELEGATION FROM UNIVERSITY COLLEGE CAPITAL, COPENHAGEN, DENMARK
A 10 member delegation from the University College Capital (UCC), Copenhagen, Denmark has paid a three-day visit to the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana.
The delegation led by the Head of International Department of UCC, Dr. Mette Jørgenson arrived in Winneba on Wednesday, 16th November, 2016. The visit which brought together Deans and Heads of Department from selected Faculties in the University was characterized by series of presentations, interactions and dinner meant to enhance collaborations between the two institutions.
Welcoming the delegation to the University, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, the Dean for the School of Graduate Studies, Professor Jonathan Ammah stated that no institution was an island, hence the need for collaborations.
The Director for the Centre for International Programmes, Professor Yaw Sekyi-Baidoo, also indicated that although there have been collaborations between the two institutions in previous years, there was the need for formal memorandum of understanding to be signed to cement the relationship. He suggested the development of a memorandum of understanding for consideration by UEW to strengthen the relationship.
