UEW receives International Star Award for Quality
The University of Education, Winneba has been honoured with the International Star Award for Quality by BID - Business initiative Directions in Geneva on 17th September, 2016.
The event which was designed to recognise the outstanding contributions of organisations and individuals in ensuring quality benchmarks in their institutional structures and systems was successfully held to commend and celebrate their achievements. The Award winning institutions, on receiving the award, commit themselves to continuous improvement and quality in their organisations.
The International Star Award for Quality is bestowed on the basis of the following criteria:
- Excellence in Leadership and Management
- Quality and Productivity
- Business prestige and Brands
- Technology, Innovation and Growth
The Award marks the continuous support of a multi-national team of professionals (BID-Business Initiative Directions), specialized in communication, education and promotion of Quality Culture in their organisational activities. Receiving the Award on behalf of the University was the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mawutor Avoke, assisted by the Registrar, Dr. C.Y. Akwaa-Mensah and the Finance Officer, Dr. Theophilus Ackorlie.
