UEW Signs agreement with Archer College of Early Childhood Education

The University of Education, Winneba has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Archer College of Early Childhood Education that leads to the establishment of a mentoring relationship between the College and UEW.

The Vice-Chancellor of UEW, Professor Mawutor Avoke stated that the agreement was informed by the institutional mandate of UEW to provide the needed assistance to various institutions in the training of competent teachers for all educational levels. He was appreciative of the fact that Archer College had chosen UEW as their mentor University.

He indicated that UEW will fulfill its part of the agreement and urged the College to also ensure that quality academic standards were followed. On his part, the Director of Archer College of Early Childhood Education, Mr. Francis K. Archer said the College will act in accordance with the terms of the agreements and will also ensure that academic standards were maintained.

The Registrar, Dr. C.Y. Akwaa-Mensah reiterated that the University was not ready to compromise on quality standards in the academic requirement for admissions and examinations. He charged them to ensure that the certificate standards were maintained. Signing on behalf of UEW was the Professor Mawutor Avoke, witnessed by Dr. C.Y. Akwaa-Mensah.

Signing for Archer College of Early Childhood was Mr. Francis K. Archer, witnessed by Mr. Isaac Bennie Cooke. Present at the signing of the MOU were the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni and the University Librarian, Mr. Viscount N. Buer.
