Angel Group of Companies Supports UEW

A renowned Ghanaian enterprise, Angel Group of Companies, producers of Adonko Bitters has supported the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) with personal protective products to fight against the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The items include 50 cartons of Adonko Hand Sanitiser, five cartons of Adonko Next Level Energy drink, ten Veronica buckets, ten hand washing bowls, ten dustbins, ten packs of paper towels and one box of liquid soap.

COLTEK-UTAG, Individuals Extend Support to Staff Rendering Essential Services on Campus

The College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) branch of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) and several individual staff of COLTEK have made donations to the skeletal staff who remained on duty to render essential services in the College during the lockdown of Greater Kumasi and its contiguous districts because of COVID-19.

Key among the donations were a cash amount of GH₵ 5,000.00 presented to the staff of the College Clinic by COLTEK-UTAG and 50 packs of small-size bottled water to the Security Unit of the College.

Kwadaso MP Donates 30 Street Lights to COLTEK

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Kwadaso Constituency in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, Dr. S. K. Nuamah has donated 30 Suiming 150-Watt Led Street Lights to the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).

The donation partly followed appeals by the leadership of COLTEK’s chapter of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) to the Ministry of Energy for street light bulbs to further improve the lighting situation and for that matter, security in the College.

COLTEK SRC Donates to the College

The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) at the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has donated six mobile Public Address (PA) Systems and 20 large size litter bins to the College.

The donation of PA Systems and litter bins worth a total of GH₵ 12,000.00 was SRC’s contribution towards effective teaching and learning in a clean environment.

Rev. Kwame Nkrumah Hope Donates School Desks to Methodist J.H.S, Jamasi

A Lecturer at the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences Education and Chaplain of the College of Agriculture Education, Mampong-Ashanti Campus, Rev. Hope Kwame Nkrumah has led the congregants of Mt. Sinai Methodist Church to donate 20 Mono Desks to the Methodist Junior High School (JHS) at Jamasi.

Rev. Kwame Nkrumah who is also the Sessional Minister in charge of Mt. Sinai Methodist Church made the donation at a service dedicated to the celebration of teachers of Jamasi Educational Unit in the Ashanti Region.

KWADASO MP SUPPORTS EFFORTS TO IMPROVE SECURITY AT COLTEK

Acting with dispatch to honour a request by the Principal of the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) Prof. Reynolds Okai, the Member of Parliament for Kwadaso in the Ashanti Region, Dr Samuel Kwadwo Nuamah has donated ten street light sets with accessories to COLTEK. He made the request during a courtesy call on him by Dr. Nuamah, early in May 2017 and the Member of Parliament pledged to support.

Department of Art Education Donates to UTV

The Department of Art Education of the University of Education, Winneba has donated three mural paintings to Universal Television (UTV), in recognition of its contributions to the promotion of arts-oriented programmes for national development.

The three murals titled, Adekye Nsoroma, Power in communication and The Weaves of Beauty are to serve as set designs for UTV’s famous morning show dubbed ‘Adekye Nsoroma’. The designs have high Ghanaian aesthetic content that differs from Eurocentric concept of aesthetics.
