Late Prof. Martin Amoah Laid to Rest

The body of the late Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Education (FVE), Kumasi Campus of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Prof. Martin Amoah, has been laid to rest at Kotei-Deduako in Kumasi on Saturday, 27th June, 2020.

The 55-year-old Associate Professor, who dedicated 21 years of his working life in the service of UEW, was on course to reaching the acme of the academic ladder when he was suddenly taken ill on Sunday, 22ndMarch, 2020, and died few hours thereafter.

COLTEK Produces 4,000 Face Masks for Distribution to UEW Staff, Other Stakeholder Institutions

With support from the Management of the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK), the Department of Fashion Design and Textile Education (DFDTE) of the Faculty of Vocational Education (FVE) has produced about 4,000 face masks for free distribution in the University community as an added measure the COLTEK Management is implementing to combat the novel COVID-19 pandemic.

UEW Partners Right to Play to Train Future Teachers

Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has today, Monday, 22nd June, 2020, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a global organisation, Right to Play at the Council Chamber, North Campus, UEW.

The MoU gives Right to Play the green light to support UEW in the training of future teachers in different Faculties in the Colleges of Education and assist to capacitate the tutors who are teaching these future teachers to improve and impact the learning outcomes of Ghanaian children.

IDeL Co-ordinators, Administrators Urged to support UEW Become Best in DE Delivery in West Africa

The Institute for Distance and e-Learning (IDeL) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has held a four-day review workshop for its Study Centre Coordinators and Administrators in Kumasi with a call on participants to demonstrate devotion in supporting UEW to offer the best quality Distance Education (DE) in the West African sub-region.
